Lisa Stover grew up in Houston Texas. She attended Sam Houston State University, studying photography. She also studied at Penland School of Crafts, a national center for craft education located in North Carolina. Most recently, Lisa apprenticed for four years, under renowned glassblowers Ralpy Mossman and Mary Mullaney of Heron Glass. She still works with Heron Glass and started her own company in 2003, Stover Glass.
 
 
"Blowing glass requires physical and mental strength. I must stay focused on both while striving to create an object of beauty. There are failures and breakage, but in the end, when I have accomplished a work of art, I am the most happy.
